 Film review by Khadijah osumanu    Movie title Katy’s Universe  Directed by Patrick Muhlberger         The movie Katy Universe is a wild,vibrant shot film that takes the concept of a personal breakdown and explains it into superhero absurdity. In just under ten minutes the film tells the story of Katy, who goes to a wedding dabbles in cocaine, and somehow walks away with telekinetic powers. It’s chaotic,hilarious and weirdly empowering. From the opening moments, the story was able to grab my attention with its high energy pacing and unapologetically absurd tone. It makes fun of modern superhero origin stories while grounding its narrative in something many viewers can relate to: the desperate desire to feel powerful.
